Resident 2011 - 2012

2/11/2013

This was my first apartment I've lived in. I was really spoiled by St. Francis' prompt maintenance and friendly staff. I lived there from 2011 to mid 2012. I started off with a one year lease and due to graduating college only needed to stay there for 5 more months. I was willing to get a 6 month lease or do a month-by-month agreement (which is much more costly), but Mary the manager wrote up a 5 month lease just for me at the regular rent. Another thing really great about St. Francis is it's noise level. I could never hear my neighbors below or beside me. When my downstairs neighbors were out on their patio, though, the sound was amplified. This was not very bothersome though. The laundry facility usually had open washer and dryers almost every time I went to wash my clothes. Most residents with dogs would not clean up after them despite the manager sending several letters out about it, and some residents would ignore the leash policy as well. Luckily my leased dog was not bothered much by these other pets. When an attempted break-in, or car break-in happened, or a suspicious person was witnessed lurking around the premises, a letter was posted on the office and laundry facility doors and sometimes residents doors. This was maybe only a few times during my year and half stay there though, and I never felt unsafe as the outside is well-lit. The couple times I had a maintenance issue they would send someone to fix it the same day, which I did not expect. I lived in a one bedroom apt and the bedroom, closet, bathroom, and kitchen were plenty big. I have been spoiled by the closet, bathroom, and kitchen sizes as I now live in a house and am disappointed with how tiny they are. The only reason I moved was because I graduated college and was moving out of state. Oh and I should say I NEVER saw a single bug in the apartment. No roaches, no ants, maybe one spider...the only problem was during Spring there was a ton of moths outside around the patio/deck light and I would have to be careful going into my apt. But that is not really St. Francis' fault. Overall a great apartment complex for a great price. Free wireless internet too (at least when I was there)
