While Deer Cross is close to Angelina College and Wal-Mart, it isn't worth the hassle. They nickel and dime you to death. Monthly pet rent? Really? The appliances in the apartment are ancient and break frequently. When you put in a maintenance request, someone comes that day to "fix" it, but it's a sloppy repair job. It'll be broken again the next week and the cycle continues. There are not enough dumpsters, so there is trash all over the place, causing the odor of trash to fill the air. It's very easy to hear everything your neighbors do. Management never knows what they are doing. You go in and talk to one of them about something, think you have an issue worked out, then you talk to another staff member and get a totally different response. It's like they don't communicate with one another. I would go to another apartment complex. It might be further away, but it's worth it to not deal with the Deer Cross hassle.
