We had to move quickly so we had my husband's boss check out the apartments in the area for us. When he went to Brady Station, they let him preview the apartment. When we arrived 2 weeks later to move in, they would not let us see the apartment until our move-in date, even though I had already paid the deposit. The move-in date is another story. Our move-in date was set for Friday, but we called to verify many times and they said they might even be able to have it ready for us as soon as Wednesday. We checked in at the apartment on Thursday, and they had our move-in date for the following Tuesday! This posed a huge inconvenience for us as we were living with friends with all our things in the Uhaul, which had to be returned Friday. They did speed things up and get us in on Saturday, but it just shows that things were in a mess in the office. We didn't have any major problems while in the apartment. We did have ants in our apartment from the time we moved in, but the office paid to have it treated. When we moved out, we were stuck with steep cleaning fees. They charged us $30 to clean the oven, which I had already cleaned myself, and $50 to clean the bathtubs, which I had already cleaned myself. I was also charged for some wall damage in the kitchen, and I had nothing on the wall. When I called to speak to the lady who sent me the letter, she knew nothing about the charges and said I'd have to speak to a manager. I was confused as to why a lady signed her name to a letter stating I owed the company charges when she knew nothing about them. I called the regional office and they were of no help. They promised to get back to me several times and never did.
