I am currently living in Blue Swan and am becoming more and more unsatisfied with their service. Once while entering the office for a package, I was personally asked if a "young man" was living with me. After asking what grounds of assumption they had for asking such a bold question, they said they had "heard from around"? Heard from around meant the maintenance men were obviously frustrated that every time they came by when I requested service that I had this "young man" over. Ofcourse I have someone over when a stranger is to work on my personal apartment! Im a young adult female- you hear too many stories about bad things happening to. I found this extremely offensive and still feel like Im being constantly "monitored" on who visits my apartment and when. Also, the heat down here is absolutely miserable- and ofcourse my old AC unit would always go out and leave the apartment at 90 degrees. Everytime someone came to look they would always just tell me it was old and to turn it off and wait an hour, and then it would work again. Ridiculous! Why would I come home exhausted from a long day and enjoy waiting an additional hour of the apartment heating up just to raise my AC bill up even more later in trying to cool the entire apt down again. Finally, after calling the main management office a few states away, I was helped with a new unit...too bad it took all summer. Also, Im having a constant roach and ant problem. I have used their pest control constantly and still run into a roach or 3 every night. ITS GROSS!

    Dear Resident, As the manager of Blue Swan, I would like to apologize to you for your dissatisfaction with your home. We value you as our resident and will resolve any issues you may be experiencing as soon as possible. Our staff is very conscientious of who lives at the community for the well being of Blue Swan. Yes, in many instances we will ask or send a letter to our residents if we feel there is an unauthorized occupant residing in apartments. Concerns of unauthorized occupants will arise and must be addressed. All adults of the age of 18 or older are required to have a background check and to be listed on the lease contract. I assure you our intentions were good and we did not mean to offend you in any manner. Often repairs to an air conditioning unit will require the unit to be turned off in order for a frozen unit to thaw. Freezing up of an A/C unit is prevalent during the hot Texas summers, even if a unit is new. This is due to the great demand on the systems to combat the high temperatures. This may have been the issue in your case. I will speak to the maintenance staff as to why someone would have told you your air conditioner was old; this was not an acceptable response to your work order or for the repairs needed. Lastly, concerning the problem you are having with pest control. I understand that your apartment was treated but you continue to have a problem. We do want to resolve this issue for you as soon as possible. You may request weekly treatment for pest control. Our pest control company is on the property weekly, I will report to them that you are having a specific issue with roaches and they will concentrate on your home and treat the apartment as needed until the problem is resolved.
