The Truth About The Renaissance at Canyon Springs

I see that The Renaissance is trying to rebrand their image with this increase of positive reviews. Don't fall for it. Here is the honest truth: Staff- If I could give zero stars, I would. Snotty, unprofessional, unreliable and unethical would be the best description. Sure, they are quick to fix a problem... Only after you threaten and complain to their corporate office. Remember that time I put in a work order because I felt the pipes in my laundry room were leaking? I do. I remember that almost two weeks later, the pipe busted because nobody ever came and it flooded my home and went through the floor and into the garage like a scene from Warer World. It wasn't until then that the problem was addressed. Kandi, the manager, is the absolute worst. She takes zero ownership for any problems, including her staff, even when it is their fault. They don't apologize, and I they do, they apologize that YOU feel illy towards them. Kandi is also a liar, as is Samantha-- really ladies, just be honest with your tenants and own up to your short comings. Don't say you called if you didn't. Don't tell me you drive around every morning to make sure all the trash cans are brought in, when you don't... And we can see the evidence! If you're going to lie, at least make it something that can't be proven wrong. Property- The exterior isn't so bad. If you don't count all of the lights that are out... Poorly lit at night. Reminiscent of a dark alley. Interiors... Different story. Everything is starting to fall apart. The plumbing, cracked tile, the carpet is starting to come up. Did I mention the plumbing? Also, the insulation is off... It gets really warm during the Summer, even with the A/C on 70! That is, when the A/C is working. Did I mention the plumbing? Parking- isn't a problem if you don't ever have visitors. The garage is helpful, but outside of your garage... Good luck finding a spot close to your building, because there are none for most buildings. Safe? Sure, it's Stone Oak. But don't think there aren't hoodlums that haven't tried to break into cars in the dark as an alley parking area. Happens more often then you think. I've been here almost 3 years and have out up with so much garbage from this place, solely out of convenience, but my lease is up soon and the staff has really pushed me over the edge. DON'T do it. Trust this review. For the same price, or less, check out what Mission Hills on Evans has. Super nice property, none of these issues. Actually, most places would be better... The Mansions, The Estates, The Abbey... Same curb appeal, similar price range. A lot less incompetence too, I'd imagine.
