Rapidly becoming the biggest dump north of 1960!
I lived at The Lodge for two years and it was an uphill battle with management on a monthly basis. Their job is to collect rent and lease apartments--servicing tenants is considered a huge waste of time! The local management can't blow their own noses without calling New York first to get the approval. The new manager is a bit better, but the last one nearly ran the place into the ground. None of the leasing agents live on the premesis (which should tell you something!) so they have no idea what goes on there after hours. The gates were often out of order, allowing anyone to wonder onto the property at will. The maintenance staff was clueless. On one occasion, the tenants had to fix a major water leak themselves (after being without water for over five hours on a Friday night) because the maintenace guys had no idea how to do so, and management wouldn't call in real plumbers. The complex is also in the approach path of Intercontinental--the one that everyone is complaining about. Some days, the planes are so low you can smell the exhaust from the engines! Numerous dead trees on the property presented a major hazard and it required four months of complaints before they cut them down. And then, it took a falling limb hitting a car before they would act. And like previous notes about this apartment, NEVER trust them at their word. They'll tell you one thing and do something else. Read the contract carefully--especially the early termination clauses. Even if you pay your rent out through the full term, if you leave early they keep your deposit and stick it to you. There are just too many other nice apartments in the area to bother with this place!Share This Review
