I absolutely loved Monticello Apartments. I lived there just this past year (08-09) and the only reason I moved is because I got married. But I go back to visit often because I loved it so much. I lived in Red Brick and did not go over to the White Brick buildings very much. But I do know that White Brick has slightly bigger apartments. I loved Red Brick because of its cute charm and having an upstairs appealed to me. My room was a little small and so were the closets, but they do not object to you using cinder blocks to prop up your beds for extra storage. Some girls even brought portable wardrobes or cheap dressers from Ikea for extra storage. Our bathroom didn't collect very much mold like the previous reviewer stated, but I had some pretty clean roommates. The kitchen has PLENTY of storage and are for the most part updated. They got newer, safer back doors when I lived there so they're barely a year old.

The ward is super social! If a group of people is going to do something fun no one hesitates to knock on doors and invite the whole ward. I loved sitting on my back porch for study breaks because someone almost always walked by and we had a nice chat. The bishop and bishopric were amazing and very down to earth.

I lived there under the new managers and they were super nice. They take time to get to know you and help you in any way they can. On our first cleaning check of the year they even came and helped us know how to clean so we passed the cleaning check. Maintenance guys were very prompt and always knew how to fix whatever problem we had (usually it was a clogged drain in the shower, which I eventually learned how to clean myself). As stated in the subject, this was my favorite ward as a single student and I highly recommend it!
