Having rented this apartment sight unseen, it met our expections of Archstone cleanliness. Nonetheless, the maintenance level fell far below our expectations. There were holes in the balcony door screen, stains on the carpeting in the bedroom, a dysfunctional oven, and a badly deteriorated dishwasher. Our experiences with the infamous Stephanie were consistent with other reviewers. In mitigation a complaint to Archstone corporate resulted in the building manager taking action to resolve our major issues with the stove and dishwasher. All smaller maintenance issues have been requested via the Archstone website and have been duly addressed. We recommend using the web-based service request system for the best service rather than a phone call to the management office. Overall the staff, especially the concierge staff, are greatly above average, in fact, better than the average hotel. Scheduling of the loading dock for moving in was done in a really accommodating and professional manner. The concierge staff are extremely friendly and flexible and really seem to take supporting the residents seriously.
