Can't wait to get out...
I have very mixed feelings about this community. My husband and I moved in last spring, and were excited about our new little home.

We have had the office send Pest Control numerous times, which is not effective. I finally had to caulk any and all holes in our apartment to keep the ants out. After the ants, we got silverfish (one in bed with me...), then spiders...not your typical house spiders, but lots of them and BIG ones, then crickets, and we've even had a couple of earthworms (how do they get in???) in our bedroom near the baseboards.

Last fall a friend of ours was bit on his knuckle by a spider while walking up the stairs to our apartment. We have finally given up on the Pest Control Company the Management sends and have purchased our own spray, which works so much better than their services. During the summer, I was vaccuumming my baseboards on a regular basis to suck up the dead spiders and bugs (at least our own pest control methods worked, because Post won't change Pest Control companies, I've asked).

These apartments were just not built well. We had a major leak in our main living room window. When it rained, we put as many bowls/cups as we could in our windowsill to catch the water. It took Maintenance 6 months to find and fix the problem, and the drywall is cracking and flaking off, definitely needs to be patched up.

At first, I liked our apartment. I was initially impressed with the management. Maintenance is quick, but not necessarily effective. They seem to have "quick fix" solutions.

In the past year that we've lived here, we've had three different managers. The current manager, although nice, once told me that they couldn't do anything else to solve the problem we were having with cigarrette smoke coming into our apartment from a resident downstairs. When I suggested an air filter, she said she would look into it. I never heard back from her. That was a month ago.

We're moving this weekend, and I've been on the countdown for 6 months. I have not been pleased with our living situation. I have met several people who are very happy at Post, I wonder if we just got the "lemon" apartment.

What have I liked about our place? The kitchen is bright, that has been nice. And I LOVE our shower and garden style bathtub. That's probably the only thing I will miss: the long showers and soaking baths.

If you are love the location...try Woodway at Trinity Center right next to Post.Share This Review
