Rent is cheap, but like the title says, you get what you pay for. No washers or dryers in the unit, the washers down the hall are sometimes broke down and are always expensive, parking is secure(ish) but they charge you extra for it. Hallways are nasty, there are urine stains on the walls and carpet. It takes weeks for them to repair burnt out lights in the halls/stairwells and there was grey water pouring out of the ceiling in the parking garage for 2 weeks. The parking garage has spaces that are way too small for average cars.
No amenities like pool, exercise room, etc... The worst part is the office. It is rarely staffed and they never answer the phones. The manager knows very little about the apartment complex. He told us there was no elevator when we moved in. The (very nice) maintenance man told us half way through us moving our stuff upstairs that there was, in fact, an elevator in the next building over, you just had to walk across a walkway to get to our building.
Our toilet leaks blue stuff everywhere, water pours onto our patio/balcony like a waterfall every time it rains. Everyone smokes in their apartments, so our apartment always stinks and the hallways are even worse. Our appliances are old and the dishwasher has been broke since we moved in, even though we mentioned it on our move-in sheet so it could be repaired.
