Don't move here!

Here are my major complaings:<br><br>1. Due to the landscaping behind our building, the drainage setup (there is a hose that runs along the building situated so that all of the water drains behind apartment) and the excessive watering of the grass, the grassy area is always saturated with water, and is always a muddy mess. When we originally moved into the apartment we were told by the staff that it was a great location, because we could park behind the building and come in the sliding glass door (the back door doesn’t lock from the outside, so I’m not sure I follow her logic). She also told us that it would be very easy to move in, since we would be able to move our furniture right in the back door. Since you are unable to see the actual apartment before you sign the lease, we had no idea about this until we moved in, and tried to utilize the back door. Also, the sprinkler is set up so that it not only waters the lawn, but also completely soaks our entire porch every morning, making it hard to keep anything out there that is not waterproof. We complained 3 times about the water and the sprinklers, and nothing was done. We didn’t even ever get a response.<br><br>2. Apparently the management staff believes that the most effective means of communication is taping notes to mailboxes, the evening prior to any event that might affect residents. Due to this poor communication, we came home one evening to find all of our belonging that were on the porch, dumped in the middle of the back lawn, in over an inch of mud and water. The maintenance people had moved my belongings into the mud to pressure wash the building, and left them there.<br><br>3. During the late Summer baseboard heaters were infested with flying ants. We complained, and the management sent someone to “spray” basically, they just sprayed Raid into the heater. A week later they were back. Only after complaining 3 times, did the management bother to hire a professional to take care of it.<br><br>4. When we moved out we were charged for three extra days. When I tried to get some clarification on why we were charged, I was basically told, it’s in the lease. When I asked questions I was promptly read the section of the lease over and over again. From the wording in the lease I thought we shouldn’t have been charged, so I again asked for clarification. I was told “I’m not a lawyer, I don’t know…If you have questions, you should contact the Washington Attorney General”. This has never been resolved. They also charged us for an extra key (Which we never received) and cleaning, although the lady who did the walk through with me commented on how clean the apartment was. The walkthrough is pointless, because the person who does it “doesn’t assess the charges”. <br><br>Worst experience EVER renting.<br>
