can't wait to move
i'm sitting in my apartment right now listening to my neighbors crappy music. i've lived here for 5 years with, i believe, 3 different property managers. i'm trying to find out who owns this place. i don't think they'd be pleased. spring seems to be when a lot of the units get filled. this year, it seems like this year they were filled with lots of "apartment people". loud music, both in the buildings and in cars in the parking lot, trash everywhere. i tried to take matters into my own hands but my young male neighbors need to grow a pair and answer their door. i've never gotten a call back from the office manager. i was never given a lease renewal last year, which i am most grateful for. i called as a prospective leaser, when my mum and i thought about getting a place together. never got a call back, it's now 3 weeks later. signs for 1 and 2 bedroom units "available" are still up. office is closed during regular hours. phone calls aren't answered during regular hours. came home on mother's day to find a neighbor raking copious amounts of ---- out of the grass in front of his side of the building; beer cans, trash, millions of cigarette butts. i've noticed that for several months another building has lacked a doorknob on the main door; anybody can walk in. i wrote a letter *and* talked in person to the original property manager about a problem a few months after i moved in. maintenance guy showed up to assess it, told me they'd get the carpet guys in to fix it shortly. needless to say, it's never been fixed. same with the hornet's nest removal from my balcony. i have a slight mold problem on my bedroom window that's never been addressed. had a family move temporarily in my building from another in the complex due to mold. nice that they brought all their moldy furniture in with them. i paid a pet deposit for my cats. dogs, i were told, were not allowed. dogs are all over the damn place. was woken up last night by a neighbors puppy (whom i assume was left alone during the night) yelping, whining and barking. good times. washers work OK. dryers have not worked properly in well over a year (meaning that it takes 3 times to get them adequately dry where you can hand them over the shower to hopefully dry by the next day). they are about to lose a tenant that's paid their rent on-time, EVERY time, for the past 5 years.Share This Review
