Don't Even Think About It!
Lived here for 3 years. Don't know how we did it.

The office staff, while very pleasant, is quite unhelpful. When we moved in, they accepted all of our packages for us-- which was a nice service. Then, they decided that it was too much trouble and had set "mail hours" to pick up you mail-- genereally 1-2 hours on 6 different days during the week. Most of the weekday hours were at times when I wasn't around-- some people work until later than 5:30! Even if the office was open, they'd not allow my to get my own mail.

The building is not secure-- anyone can walk right in to the buildings. Its not a huge concern, being in Waukehsa and all, but who knows?

In the time we lived there, we had several annoying neighbors direectly downstairs. First, it was a group of Indian bachelors that played Indian movies so loud, you felt like they were on your TV. Next was a group of college gals that routinely had loud parties, and ended up getting so drunk that the police were called to break up their drunken fights.

And last, but not least, was the divorced Dad who stayed up until 2 or 3 in the morning drinking beer and playing classic rock music so loud it was impossible to sleep. We had many drunken run-ins with this character, politely trying to get him to be quieter at night. But sometimes, on a Sunday afternoon, you've got music blasting so loud you can't even watch television in peace.

Over the three years, we've witnessed Child Protective Services investigate possible case of child neglect. We've seen police called out to deal with domestic violence at 3:00am.

Complaints to the office about the noise of other residents are ignored. I think the problem here is that they're not very picky about what kind of people they rent to. If they were a little more picky, perhaps they'd keep their good residents.

It got to the point that I no longer felt safe. I couldn't take out loud neighbor anymore, and there was an incident of violence that took place one night in which some nasty things were screamed through the complex. I made up my mind to break out lease. We paid double rent for a few months-- it was the best money I ever spent.

When I went in and told them we weren't renewing out lease, they asked, "Why? Is there anything we can do to make you stay?" I explained our situation with the bad neighbor, and they had the nerve to suggest that I move to a different unit in the same complex!

To those of you who need an apartment, and a cheap one at that-- you don't have to settle for this. Look elsewhere!Share This Review
