Redmont Gardens is a nice place to live, especially if you are a recent graduate or still a student. The price for a 2 bedroom is pretty cheap and includes all the utilities except cable. The apartment building is old but that adds to the charm. Also, you can't beat the location. If you don't plan on spending a lot of time in your apartment, it will do. There isn't a disposal, washer/dryer, or dishwasher in the unit but it is manageable (for a short term). The downfall is the AC/Heating issue and the staff. It has been difficult to keep cool and I have had to have window units replaced and replaced and replaced (I think they try to save money by using really old AC units until you actually get on the phone with maintenance and request a new one). In the winter, you have no control over the heat so it tends to be either cold or hot (and by hot I mean it can be stifling). The heater is also very loud and for the first month we though there was a weight room below us because of all the clanging. The parking is terrible at time but for the most part not bad. Finally, the office staff has been rude most of the time. Though some of the staff is helpful, more often that not I have had to deal with the two people that are rude and act annoyed when we have had questions or needed to report a maintenance issue. If you are desperate for a place to live, go for Redmont but there are options nearby that are also inexpensive but have more updates.
