Resident ā€¢ 2019

4/24/2019

if I could give less than 1 star I would. there was a break in attempt at our apartment. The intruder had a gun and fired SEVERAL shots, resulting in structural damage outside of the apartment and several bullet casings on the ground. we called management about the situation trying to be moved to a different unit for safety purposes and it took almost 2 weeks for management to meet with us. there were several instances when the manager said she would be in to meet about it but she continued to cancel or just not show up to work when we had planned on meeting. we had to miss work and school several times to deal with this and had to stay in a hotel that whole time for our safety and management didn't do anything about it. we later found out that the guy who attempted to break in was a resident at valora and had broken into several other residents cars and apartments and management was aware of who it was and that he was a resident at valora, but did nothing about it. they have the absolute worst customer service and do not care at ALL about their residents. we have also signed a lease for a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment but valora leased it out to someone else without telling us and ended up putting us in a 2 bedroom model unit instead. if you ever have any problems and try to call the leasing office, you will be calling several times for HOURS without the call being answered. if you go up there you can see everyone up there just ignoring phone calls. also, if you go up there to talk to management about any issues they refuse to speak to you, refuse to give you your files or receipts, and just send you to their lawyer and try to make you pay several thousand dollars of lawyer and court fees. the management is COMPLETELY unprofessional and it's beyond disgusting how they treat their residents. absolutely do NOT sign a lease to live here, they will only cause issues in your life, scam you out of your money, and treat you poorly. also, there's a rehab community living in the complex that they don't tell you about so you can find several used needles and will be approached by several high people asking for money. better make sure your doors are locked too because they'll accidentally walk into your unit or someone will attempt to break in and fire their gun. save yourself and do NOT live here. the units are bad enough on their own but the management is absolutely disgusting and rude and do not care AT ALL about the safety of their residents.
