This apt was great until I decided to move out. Staff was friendly and maintenance was friendly and quick. The apts were nice but you could tell it was made of cheap construction and wouldn't look nice for much longer. The management changed 3 times in the 1 year I lived there. When my one year lease was up they never even sent me a reminder to renew or told me what the new rates were, I had to go in to the office and inquire on my own. When I found out they were going to raise the rent by $100, I decided to move out. I put in the required 60 day notice and then moved out. I went with them to do my move-out inspection and they said everything looked great and even signed something saying there would be no charges and I would get a full refund of the security deposit. Then a few months later, I had not received my deposit refund so I called and they kept giving me the run-around telling me I had to fill out forms and fax it so I did but still I never received my deposit back. This happened 2 or 3 times until finally I drove to the office and asked them about it. They then told me that I never gave a notice so I was not eligible to receive my security deposit back and they also said that they found some damages in the apartment that would also lower the refund. Needless to say, I never got my deposit back despite fighting with them over it and talking with their management. I'm sure I could have won this in court but didn't want the hassle. Lesson learned, protect yourself when giving a notice and keep a copy and have them sign saying they received it or they could lock you into an automatic renewal of your lease and try and charge you lease cancellation fees. For the move-out experience alone, I would not recommend this apt complex to anyone.Share This Review
