Twickenham Village Apartments

These apartments are made to look way better than they actually are. I mean, they're ok if you're a college student looking for an affordable place to live but not for long-term or to raise a family. First of all they are in the worst possible area. People break into your cars and you can hear near-by shooting sometimes. That's not something that you want to have to explain to your kids. The people here are generally friendly. The maintenance people are friendly but they don't fix things when they say they will. You have to nag them in order to get it done. The apartments are poorly insulated and you can hear your neighbors as if you were right in front of them. The pool sucks. It's like this little bitty triangle of a pool. Not kidding. It's just not a place where you feel safe. The lights on the side of the building go out and they don't change them so it's just really dark. That's dangerous. The manager will tell you that there are no break-ins and it's really safe, blah, blah, blah. That's complete bull. Don't listen to them. And the advertise the fireplaces like it's just amazing. But they're filthy and they won't clean them if you ask so they end up just being decoration.
