Resident 2011

Consider Carefully...

I've lived at Rondo for almost a year now. My husband and I moved in after looking at a half dozen apartments all over the city. We ultimately chose Rondo because it's very affordable. Our 2 bed/2 bath apartment (just over 1,000 sq. ft.)is $625 a month-you won't find that anywhere else! On move-in day, the apartment had, as promised, new floors in the kitchen and dining area and new counter tops in the kitchen. The appliances are all new and good brands. The cabinets are old with a few paint stains, and the wood border around them has started to fall off. I have never had a problem with the water heater, but the A/C and heater will stop blowing hot/cold air if left on long enough. Problem seems to be fixed if thermostat is turned to "auto." I have never seen a single bug in my apartment--not a roach, an ant, nothing. They spray for bugs once a month. The walls ARE thin--if your next door neighbor has a baby, there will be times where you'll hear it cry. If you live downstairs, you can hear your upstairs neighbor walking around. It's all part of apartment living. All in all, Rondo is an okay place to live if you're cool with all of the above plus: The sketchy shopping center next door. Neighbors blasting rap music from their cars/apartments at all hours. An often rude manager.
