I lived at The Pointe while I attended UCA for 3 years. When I moved in, they explained that the apartment was cleaned from the previous resident. I had two lights out and the ceiling fan was covered in black dust in the living room. I had to ask the maintenance for a ladder since I lived on the third floor and the ceilings are vaulted. They dropped it off outside my door and I cleaned it myself.
I didn't have many problems while I lived there, but they screw you on the way out. The management changed 3 times in the time I lived there. The management was never available to walk through with me to make sure everything looked OK when I left. I didn't expect my deposit back because when I went to put in my 30 days notice, they said it is 29 days so I don't get my deposit back. I was tiffed, but just happy to leave. Three weeks later, I get a letter saying not only do I not get my $250 deposit back, but I also owe them another $150 to replace the carpet for "pet urine". I didn't own a pet! They sent me to a collection agency over it too.
Overall experience, they are sweet upfront, the apartment it nice, maintenance is never there, no rules are enforced, and the gate system is a joke!
