I've lived at Westlake for almost a year. My apartment has flooded twice-- the first time, the people living upstairs apparently had problems with their toilet and it overflowed (to the point where it was literally dripping through the ceiling. Gross.) The second time, no one even bothered to explain to me or my roommate WHY the place was flooded. They came in with some heavy-duty fans to dry it up, re-dye the carpet and replace the foam insulation over the course of a couple days, so there were maintenance guys coming and going. Our garbage disposal in the sink doesn't work. Filled out a maintenance request form, and they came by the same day to fix it--although it worked one time and promptly broke again. The apartment itself is pretty nice, and the grounds are nice enough, with the pond and fountain and everything. It's not a bad place, but I'm not going to live here again once my lease is up-- for $589 a month I can find somewhere nicer.
