I picked these apt. based on location. Relatively safe area away from LR crime, and basically the only reason I chose to stay here regardless of the horrible experience. Apt was dirty when I first moved in. I spent 2 days cleaning everything before I moved in. Stains on the walls and "hardwood" floors. Cheaply made, can hear everything. Electricity bill is never under $120 dollars for a 3rd floor 2bd 2bth with efforts to conserve costs. Hear neighbors all the time. Had contract workers under me for about 6months cause it was an executive rate apt. smelled their smoke constantly and loud music. I complained and they did make it into a regular apt. FLEAS FLEAS FLEAS. My dog is covered internally and externally for protection and he still got fleas every time we went outside this summer. I finally took measures into my own hands and treated around my building. Dog poop pick up is nonexistent. They don't have weight restrictions on dogs, so ginormous poop is everywhere. Breeze ways are disgusting!! They never blow them out so cob webs and dirt are caked on. They do trash pickup services and people leave their trash out and stuff leaks everywhere. The trash area is like a town dump site. Trash is in mounds there. It's so disgusting and embarrassing. You complain and things are never taken care. I had 3 maintenance issues that were not resolved for a year, until they had an inspection. They brought in other apt complex maintenance men under the same company to go around and fix things. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Maintenance there is a joke. The maintenance guy is shacked up with the local apt drunk that lives at the pool all summer drinking every day. The pool during the summer months is like the red neck Rivera. In a year they have had 4 managers. The new assistant manager is super aggressive and writes threatening letters like we live in a HUD apt complex. We pay too much money to deal with that kind of disrespect. I have never received a gate key when promised one. Still have to punch in the code every time. They told us we could not have balcony lights because it was against contract. sent out a memo saying it was in violation of "balcony clutter" I have always had LED rope lighting on every apt I've lived in. So this Asinine!! I was told the owners said he didn't like the way it looked. I said how about he worry more important things like FLEAS and no maintenance. Everything on the inside is so cheap. First week there I had the dryer replaced because it was broken. Had to make them bring me a new dryer. 2nd bathroom has mold under the sink from a leak that obviously was there before I arrived. Dish washer was holding water at the bottom. Had several electric outlets that didn't work. This was finally fixed after a year when the other apt maintenance came to assist before inspection, and after 3 times telling them over the year these were broken. Will not be renewing. Really sucks cause it is probably the safest apt in the WLR area. And the AM traffic down Cantrell is HORRIBLE too. Sooo over that as well.
