I lived at indianwells for alittle over two years the apartments at the time were very reasonable we payed$ 675 for a three bedroom two bath apartment the units have washer and dryer in them and they are well kept but with that said I don't recommend for anyone to rent through them they are thefts The two year my husband and four kids lived there we were quite kept to our selfs and have never had an issue with anyone and we always payed our rent on time.we lived there from 9/26/2011 to 8/1/2013 and in this time we payed our full rent on time every month then at the end of oct 2012 we had a family emergency and had to come up with 500 for a cast for our daughter so we went up to the office and spoke to the management at the time and explained the situation she offered to allow us to do a promise to pay she told us to pay what we could by nov. 3rd and told us we just needed to pay the balance along with a 75 late fee and everything would be alright so that's what we did we payed $360 on nov.3rd and signed a promise to pay stating that befor 30 days were up we would pay the balance of 390 so 315 for the rent that was due and 75 for the late fee for doing the promise to pay.that was awesome that they were willing to help us out when we needed it . We ended up being able to pay the balance in just 5 days so on nov 8th 2012 we payed the balance of 390 And then our manager was fired in between the two years they switched managers 4 times which didn't matter to us untill we received a court order to pay the 390 or they would take legal action and evict us so I went do to the office right away and spoke to the new manager about the situation we sat down and went through the rent ledgers and found the mistake we found the mistake and she said she would take care of it and then when we were going through the ledger it stated that my lease agreement was that I payed 675 every month and about a month after we moved in I received a note saying my rent went up by five dollars that instead of 675 I was to pay 680 it wasn't a huge increase so I didn't even think twice about it but my rent never went up I was always suppose to pay 675 so for two years I payed 5 more a month then what I was suppose to she told me she would audit the books get a total and turn it into the corprate office to work on getting it reimbursed and would get back to me in a couple a weeks while I never received a call so I called to talk to her about it but they fired her so there was a new manager.so I didn't want to go through the whole process again so I just let the 120 go I didn't want the hassle then about two month after that we had a process server at the door bringing us another legal form saying we owed the 390 still and guess what they added yet another late few of 75 to the total so the notice stated you need to pay 465 in five days or we would be evicted yet again so I went down to the office explained the whole situation yet again and showed her in the books what the previous manager and I found and she said sh would take care of it yet again she said dont worry about the notice and she would take care of it ! We didn't receive another notice about it so we assumed they did what they were suppose to three times ago and took it off with the new company the new manager sent out yet another leagal notice for the previous amount and yes added another 75 late fee my husband went down and spoke with her about it and the current manager who is still there told him we just bought the company and the books are so messed up everyone has passed due amounts so were sending out these leagal notices to see who comes in then we know what totals are real balances and which are not we couldn't believe our ears they put an evict notice through the courts and on our credit to see who has balances and who didn't !! but our lease ended on 8/1 anyway and didnt want to deal with a management team who had no idea what they were doing it was nothing but a joke so they sent us a notice saying your lease is up to continue to lease with us your rents going up because they sold the company and there's new owners and there raising the rent for everyone from 675 to 850 r .we are a low income family and live penny to penny and could not afford the increase so we put our notice in and moved out we cleaned and painted and left the apartment the same as when we rented it so about two weeks after we moved out the new manager called to make sure she had the right address because we had our 400 deposit coming back to us which was great we needed school cloths for our four kids it couldn't have came at a better time and living penny to penny with four kids it was a relief to have that deposit coming! But the current manager called about two weeks after that stating they were keeping the deposit because you owe that fee still and guess what added another 75 late fee I explained the situation yet again and she told me she would speak with corprate and see what she could do.while she called back and said corprate said u owe it so u need to deal with them the current manager who is still there refused to go through the ledger for me to show her the mistake and to go talk to corprate cause she isn't going to do anything to help us! So we received the deposit log in the mail not only did they keep the intire 400 the are charging us more we have a passed due balance of 17.35 plus 75 late fee the management team is completely lazy this is a easy fix all she has to do is look at the logs so not only did I pay my 400 deposit I owe 17.35 and they never refunded me for my over payments for 5 dollars a month which totals 125 for a family that lives penny to penny with four kids and homeless 612 is alot of money for them to steal from us I swear that this is all true and we never had a past balance ever we need our home for our children I would never take that chance they will steal your money I'm not the only one this has happened to many of the tenant there !
