Resident 2006

6/12/2007

I lived at courtyard for roughly 6 months. It was always loud and in bad need of repairs that were promised but NEVER done. The apartment was big but not worth the ammount of noise that we had to deal with the walls are concrete but the sound all comes in through the windows and there are always people out in front of there apartments playing music loudly or just talking loudly. At one point one of our neighbors shot someone on the tennis court. The sound of gunshots could be heard constantly. The manager that was there when I lived there Francis was always out walking around yelling at tennants and just being plain rude. A complaint was made about a window that wouldn't shut when we first moved in and when we moved out it still wasn't fixed. The A/C sucks. Our shower leaked so bad that it created a hole from the upstairs bathroom to the downstairs bedroom closet ruining my roommates clothes and prevented us from showering upstairs. This was also not fixed. Notices were sent that they would come and do repairs but all they did was remove the vent covers to "clean" but they were not brought back, also no repairs were done. The neighbors were also very rude at one point we had a neighbors children open our door and run into our apartment grabbing what they could and not leaving until they were picked up and carried out the parents did nothing. All in all the only thing that was constantly taken care of was the outside which was cleaned constantly (very loudly) and an attempt was made to keep the pigeons away by putting ugly chicken wire around the tops of the cement collums which didn't help at all it just gave the maintinece a chance to look busy. I have lived in many apartments and this is by far the worst. The rent was also way to high for how tiny and crappy the apartments were. Also the parking situation was terrible I lived with roommates so if one took the spot the other would have to use the public parking and usually there were no spots left so you would have to park on the street and the security gate was broken when the fire department had to break it down due to an overdose or something before I moved in and it was never fixed.
