My husband and I lived there for about 5 years. We moved in when we were poor young kids that needed a place close to our jobs. We hate moving so, we just dealt with living there, good and bad. First, the apartment itself was nothing special at all. The design in our apt. was kind of like a hotel room. The maintenance once fixed my door by stacking about 15 strikers to the frame to "keep the shady at bay". We just dealt with most repairs on our own after that. My neighbors were sometimes nice, but most often crazy or cranky. It was common to be woken up in the middle of the night from screaming, partying, or car alarms going off. The water situation is a joke. We pay for the complex's water too!(which they admitted to) They bill us two months behind, so even after we moved in October we got a bill from Crossroads for 4 dollars! They took all of our security deposit (100.00)and then sent us a bill for the rest. What a joke. I would recommend this place if you want a cheap, small apartment that will suffice until you can find a real place to live. I also never once saw a scorpion when I lived there, but I did have a neighbor that had a roach problem that moved to our place the last year we were here.
