I resided at Plaza 550 for 6 years and it surely has changed - changed for the worse. It was a real shame that Leasing Manager Lisa Shelley relocated to a ConAm complex in Carlsbad, California. It was Lisa and ONLY Lisa who revitalized the overall mood at the complex from indifferent to most happy. She was EXTTEMELY well organized, most professional, and resourceful. However, things changed for the worst about 3 years ago when we had a new Leasing Manager. The new manager. He was lazy. He was always late coming back from lunch. (More often than not, he took 1hr. 45 min. lunches. He never returned phone calls. He, at times, was very sarcastic with me, which I don't tolerate. One day about 3 months ago, I was waiting on line to pay my rent. Behind me was a disgruntled like just like myself. This tenant told me that He never gave him a copy of his 2015 Lease, while renewing his 2016 Lease. After renewing the Lease, He did not give him the 2016 Lease either. The Leasing Manager sank tenant morale at the complex. He was inefficient. I moved at Plaza 550 in April 2010, paying $ 508.98. When my Lease was up for renewal on 12/31/16, I did not renew. My new rent, effective after 1/1/17 would have been increased to $ 778.21. The shower is made from plastic. The kitchen cabinets are too high. You have to be 6'4'' or taller to reach them. Their vertical blinds are VERY cheap. Besides this high rent, the other reason why I moved out was because David refused to replace 4 of my blinds that kept falling off to the point that 2 of them were bent. DAVID WAS BEING CHEAP WITH ME, DESPITE THE FACT THAT I ALWAYS PAID MY RENT ON TIME. I wish top management from ConAm would boot him out and replace him with someone who is efficient, effective, professional, and personable. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, MUCH PRAISE MUST GO OUT TO MAINTENACE MAN BOB. HE WAS EXTREMELY EFFICIENT AND VERY FRIENDLY, EVERY....EVERY....TIME THAT I NEEDED SOMETHING REPAIRED, HE CAME QUICKLY AND EACH REPAIR WAS DONE IN AN EXELLENT MANNER.
