Everything was fine until I my last maintenance request. The young guy came in replaced some kitchen bulbs and the broken toilet seat. The lights still flicker in the kitchen- told him it was part of a deeper issue, he said if it starts flickering again then it will be handled then. Yea ok. The real issue was the ceiling fan light cover in the master bedroom. I had changed the bulb but it still wasn't working so I let the office know. When he "fixed" the light he neglected to put the 3rd screw back. Needless to say the glass cover fell off, down onto the bed nearly smacking my 4mo old son in the face. I presented the issue to management and the head maintenance guy happened to be there. They shared a detailed conversation in Spanish to which I could not understand and they collectively agreed that the issue was that the screws come loose after time. I call bullsh*t. There were 3, now there were two. When the actual guy who came in was confronted, he said the same thing Plus that the bulb I had in was too big. #1, if that screw came loose and popped out in the less than 48 hours since you completed the job what's that say about your work? #2 if the bulb was too big, don't you think you should've put the proper size in before replacing the cover? In any case both excuses shoved in my face are lies because when I changed the bulb, not only did the cover fit, but Oh Wow!, there were one, two, three screws. Not satisfied with the managements handling of this situation at all. The maintenance guys must get away with a lot here. My child's safety was jeopardized and although the Am and M were apologetic, it could be felt that this wasn't too concerning of an issue for them. I was made to feel inferior by the head maintenance guy and further insulted by the lack of recourse in remedying the issue. Clearly he neglected to do his job honestly and thoroughly.
