I PAID A $600 DEPOSIT UPON MOVE IN AND WHN IT CAME TIME TO MOVE OUT I KNEW I WOULD WANT MY DEPOSIT BACK. MY FIANCE USED TO WORK FOR BRE APARTMENTS (A PRETTY WELL KNOWN PROPERTY MANAGEMENT CO.) HE KNEW WHAT THE AVERAGE APARTMENT COMPLEX WAS LOOKING FOR AS FAR AS CLEAN UP GOES, UPON MOVE OUT. SO WE CLEANED THE APRTMENT TOP TO BOTTOM BETTER THAN WE HAD IN THE WHOLE YEAR WE LIVED THERE. THE WEEK BEFORE IT CAME TIME FOR OUR MOVE OUT THE MANAGEMENT HAD CHANGED BECAUSE A NEW COMPANY HAD PURCHASED THE APARTMENTS. WE WERE TOLD BY THE NEW MANAGEMENT THAT OUR APARTMENT WAS BEING CHARGED FOR EXCESSIVE CLEANING FEES, AND THAT OUR DISHWASHER AND WASHER WERE BOTH DIRTY...? I FIGURED A DICHWASHER SORTA CLEANED ITSELF. THE MANAGER ALSO TOLD US THAT THERE WAS DUST ON THE TOWEL BAR... IT SEEMS LIKE A PETTY THING TO CALL EXCESSIVE CLEANING. OVERALL THIS APARTMENT WAS FINE UNITL THE NEW MANAGEMENT. I WOULD AVOID THIS COMPLEX AT ALL COSTS, UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY A LARGE BILL AT THE END OF YOUR LEASE. I HAD REALLY EXPECTED TO GET OUR FULL DEPOSIT BACK AND INSTEAD WE RECIEVED $290. I GUESS IT COSTS $310 TO WIPE OFF A TOWL BAR.
