Resident 2013 - 2015

10/2/2015

Having lived at San Tropez just shy of two years now, and happily entering a lease agreement into a third, I felt a review was in order. While I originally moved to San Tropez based on the recommendations of friends (who have since moved out of state), I am pleased to know that I made the right decision in my choice. Between the location, the leasing staff and the amenities...one cannot go wrong leasing at San Tropez. Having lived in South Scottsdale and Tempe for most of the last decade, I am overly cautious about renting in an area where there are bound to be large groupings of college students who are enjoying life a little too late and a little too loudly at all nights during the week. San Tropez has not only a mixed age range, but those who are a bit younger and still in college seem to appreciate the peacefulness as much as the rest of us do. The proximity to the greenbelt is another selling point. It is a very easy walk to the bike and jogging path, and only a short drive (or slightly longer walk) to the Coronado driving range and golf course, which also happens to be lit until 9:00pm. South along the greenbelt, there are a few restaurants and recreational activities within walking distance (skate park, soccer fields, children's playground, disc golf course, etc). This area is usable almost entirely year round with the exception of the few days it holds the water from a monsoon storm. Conveniently within walking distance is also a CVS and a Fresh and Easy for any last minute needs or if you are ever in a pinch for something. Both the leasing and maintenance staff is highly responsive to residents needs and certainly make every effort to get to know each resident on a first name basis. Any time I have had an issue or question, it has been addressed in a timely and positive manner. With travelling so much for work, it's also nice knowing that the front desk is willing to accept packages on your behalf. San Tropez is also incredibly pet friendly. The fitness center is nothing to really write home about, however in a pinch it will do just fine. And as someone who does not need 57 different weight machines in order to complete a workout - one can effectively burn a sweat in there. The pool and main volleyball area is always in use and is a great way to get to know your neighbors or just enjoy a relaxing book. Multi family living situations all come with some frustrations along the way, but the ones that I have encountered at san Tropez are not unique to the complex and have been so minute in comparison to the positives of choosing this location as my home.
