I was so worried after reading reviews on every condo/apartment throughout Scottsdale and I had a hard time signing a lease with any of them.
Pros:
*Nice upgrades - I really wanted a nice kitchen and this was definitely good looking. It is not the highest quality in terms of the actual furnishings, but everything seems to work well and has the high $ look.
*Spacious; My living room is almost a foot too wide. I have a 51" and it looks small here. Bedrooms fit over-sized furniture
*Pools are clean, always serviced and in general no one ever uses them
- if one is used, I walk to the other which would be empty.
*The office has serviced everything we requested be fixed - not the next day, but in a timely manner as our requests were more on the level of changing light bulbs.
*A lot of the units are owned - these people care about their investments and you can see that they take care of their units. Everything is well kept and quiet.
*Nice grassy area for my dog to do his business which is a rarity out here
*Across the street is the elementary school with an almost completely fenced in area. And the Bark Park is a few blocks walk and a great place for my dog to play.
Cons:
*I read the review about bugs. When we first moved in, we saw some tiny black bugs around the edges of the carpetting. I visited the office and they sent a sprayer right out. Poof; haven't seen one since. I asked several other residents, and nobody else I have talked to has experienced bugs. I honestly would have broken my lease if that previous poster's experience happened to me, but I am very satisfied.
*There is NOT enough cabinet space for pots, pans, food. It is so deceiving because you see a wall of cabinets, but I can't even reach the top shelf making them useless to me.
*Carpet - it is SUPER clean, but it has a few annoying bumps in the hallway that remind me they did a sloppy job installing it everytime I walk into the second bedroom.
Yet - if my only complaint is about a bump in the carpeting, I think I can ignore it and enjoy all the truly positive things about it. I really am enjoying it so far and would definitely recommend my friends/family take a look because I feel like it's a hidden gem.
