Resident 2017 - 2020

6/24/2020

I Lived there 2 years until 2020 in the loft #2125. That particular unit has a black mold issue. They gutted the bathroom during my first lease. I had to move out and they didn't offer to put me up anywhere or even in a vacant unit. I moved out for 2 weeks! No compensation, no rent break on a following months rent for moving out nothing! And when I bypassed management and contacted the corporate office to speak to the district manager they would never connect me to her. And the complex office manager did everything to steer me away from voicing my complaints. As if me bringing these issues to their attention was my problem and some type of punishment for making them known. Windows are leaky around the window/drywall. Drips every monsoon season. Never fixed. In the summer it feels like a sauna with moisture leaking into the loft. Then the musty odor builds due to mold growing in the walls due to water leaks that have never been properly fixed. My entire 2 years I lived there was maintenance requests. Never a moment where there wasn't someone coming in to fix something that truly never got fixed. If you open up the AC vent to put a new filter in. You can see the AC ducts need to be cleaned. The motor/ fan is caked in dust that just blows through the ac vents and through the entire apt. I cleaned them bolts once as best as I could. Dust thick dust on everything day after day. And you can imagine that your breathing that stuff in as you sleep. The ac never turns off in the summer due to leaky windows and 1 pane 1980s windows. Expect a large ac bill all summer. Both top and bottom separate ac units never clicked off on their own. They put Apple thermostats in when they dont even have the basics fixed in an apt that the majority of people expect. Also this complex has a drug issue. I sat with the manager and talked at her desk about it. And I pointed out the neighbor who was selling. Both my neighbors upstairs in bldg #12 on the other side and definitely downstairs ( I know this for a fact) in # 1125. She sells pills. The neighbor downstairs under #2125 sells oxy and all the friends that come over are addicts as well. I heard the stories directly out of their mouths. I told the managers but they don't get involved. How can you not get involved when your the community directors.? ? Camino seco will ask you for a deposit only to take from it before you leave. This way by the time you leave you have no deposit. My guess is that's how they try to fix this complex because HSL certainly doesn't like to use their own money to fix this 40 old complex. This is a drug infested neighborhood and complex. For the money you can definitely find a place much more worth your money. You have heard that saying looks are deceiving? This applies to Camino seco village.I never felt like I had lived in a halfway house so much more than I did living at Camino seco village. What you read about the reviews is very truthful. And these are only a few of the photos I have.
