This place is perfect for students who want to be close to campus life but away from all the noisy, rowdy students. I am a student at the U of A and moved here because it is the perfect distance from campus. It takes 5 minutes to ride my bike or it's a 15 walk to the center of campus. Also 4th street and University Blvd are very close if you do want to get something to eat or meet friends. It's close enough that you can easily get to anything you need on campus, but far enough away that it's a quiet, peaceful community. It's great for studying because in your room, you will very rarely ever hear you neighbors. There are days when I would swear I was the only person in the building. However, when you do see your neighbors in the hallway or parking lot, everyone is very friendly. The apartment itself is a historic building. Therefore, you have to understand that it is a very old building. That being said, it has been renovated and is a very nice place to live. There are hardwood floors and thick walls. The appliances are somewhat new and having the gas stove is very nice. I have only ever had one minor reason to call maintenance and they solved the problem immediately. Overall, if you are a student looking to be close to campus but have a peaceful, quiet place to live and study, then you will be very happy living here.
