I live in a studio apartment here and get an electric bill that is over $100.00 a month due to an inefficient AC unit. As it turns out some people have newer more efficient AC units and some people have been saddled with older inefficient units. So the people with the newer units enjoy a much lower electric bill. There is nothing fair about that. These are not luxury apartments with the old appliances, windows that are single pane and leak, and inefficient AC units. On top of that...the community here is going down. Constant car break ins, people that put their smelly garbage in front of their door in the hot AZ sun, and security doors that don't lock. I've also been caught in the shower as the water stopped unexpectedly. The heads are constantly coming off of the sprinkler system creating little water gushers that don't get fixed for days. Which is really screwed up seeing that the wasted water just gets billed through to the residents on their monthly unmetered water bills. The buildings are poorly constructed wooden frame with super thin walls and tend to burn down. I know of two buildings that have burned down here. One is currently in the process of being restored. So the owners of this apartment complex try to pressure you into maintaining renters insurance. If you don't have renters insurance they bill you an extra $10.00 a month. The last time I called maintenance, the guy that showed up ------------------------------------------. ------------------------------------------------------------. Not the kind of person that you'd want to give permission to enter your home when you're not there. So if you decide to become part of this community...That's what you'll be dealing with...Enjoy.
