I've been living here for about a month now and find it very satisfying. The grounds are very nice, pool, grass and lighting are all very beautiful. (I wish there were more "hangout" spots like picnic tables on the grounds, but I guess during a pandemic it's not that useful anyways). What really sells this as a 5/5 community to me is the front office staff. Each management employee is on the exact same page with regards to treating residents with outstanding professionalism and customer service. Rather than worrying about being scummed by management, I feel completely assured that they will have my back in whatever ways I need them while I stay here. They are truly wonderful people. LOCATION: pros and cons to staying in this location. Quite a few homeless living around the area. On the other hand, there are some of the best Mexican street food, taco and raspado places I've ever experienced. There are a number of "culturally rich" locations within a mile from here. Downtown Tucson is only 1.5 miles or so, completely accessible by bike or by public transit. I can even bike all the way to campus from here when the weather's good. COMMUNITY: pros and cons to this too. Most members of this community are quiet and keep their heads down. I've overheard a number of domestic altercations since I've been here, though. I wish everyone were more friendly and had more reason to hangout and say hi, but for the most part, everyone keeps to themselves. On the whole, this is a very quiet community; if that's what you're looking for, then it should be a good spot. APARTMENT: very good, don't have much to say here. The apartment's layout and furnishings suit all my needs. The one issue is that sound travels very easily through walls and floors, but if you have relatively quiet neighbors, it's perfectly fine. SECURITY: security feels okay, as I said, this is a slightly dangerous area with the amount of homelessness and low-income housing around here. The community is walled off with a gate that requires a code inputted to open. But it would be entirely possible for someone who doesn't live here to enter. Residents are also forced to all use the same two number pads which means we're spreading germs... you can buy a remote control to open the gate, but it costs $25. Overall, this is a great place, quiet community in a culturally-rich part of town, with wonderful hospitality from office staff. I would give it 5/5.
