Resident 2010 - 2012

3/16/2012

Have been living here since September of 2010 and by far it has been the best rental experience my family has ever had. Since the first month of living here we've had neighbors that occasionally just pass on by to say hello as they go about their business, and a very supportive manager that does what she can to keep the place a comfortable environment. And compared to many past apartments my family has decided to jump around, that says a lot. Now I'll get to other details... The place isn't perfect but it is certainly ideal. Parking: I wish there were enclosed garages with doors for everyone, but that is apparently only the case for some in this complex. I rate the parking a 4 out of 5 though as they do assign 2 spaces for my family and apparently there's extra space around the complex for anyone to use. So that's good enough for a family with 3 vehicles. Noise: The complex is a very quiet place compared to other places we've been to, however with that said, it's not entirely quiet 24/7 neither. But nearly is. Grounds: I rate this a 4 out of 5 as, while the place certainly looks great to me personally, I'm certain someone else could find something to complain about. Safety: I rate it a 5 out of 5. Simple as that. The lighting helps quite a lot, the walkways are clear, and even the tree branches that were previously looming ever closer to the walkways have recently been cleared away. And personally I feel pretty safe here for other reasons as there's nobody that just creeps around at night. Sure there may be a person passing by the walkway on occasional late nights, but nothing that seems suspicious. Everyone here seems to just mind their own business. Construction: 4 out of 5. I like and appreciate many things here, but I feel it could have been better. Maintenance: 4 out of 5. For most things when requested, the manager Dee has promptly sent a maintenance man to come over quite a bit to my place for a multitude of things(despite one of our family member's constantly being picky about the slightest error). And honestly I am surprised how much patience she has for this. That said, the place was never in a "falling apart" state or close to it, but there has been multiple issues with one thing in particular which was our heater. That thing was fixed so many times to the point that the thermostat was simply replaced for a digital one. (Which basically made things magical.) Staff: 4 out of 5. I've only come to know of the regular maintenance men around here and the occasional sighting of Dee around the complex, but I'd have to say overall they've been alright. They're very professional and Dee does seem to care about the people here. At least in my experience... I rate this a 4 though as I've had one poor experience with a new maintenance man. Whom I have not seen since actually. Overall: 4 out of 5. This has been the best place I've been to and can't imagine living in a better apartment complex. Don't know if such a thing exists as they're, well, apartments. I wouldn't ever expect a 5 star rating to come out of any complex but this place has come far more close to it compared to other places. *Final note* I don't know/remember the pet policy around here, but I know I've seen plenty of cats around in the past. Almost all of which have disappeared so I don't know if they were strays or not.
