First, I just want to say re: CRIME. Yes this is Anaheim and though crime is an issue (I think the apartment complex across the street "King of Spain" has prob's-cop cars there at times). This community's gated and cars not only need a gate opener to get in, they need it to get out too, which really helps. There are 2 buildings Wateridge has here, and I chose the one with the leasing office in it to minimize the chances of people not belonging here hanging around, which may go on in the other complex, but both are gated in and the neighbors over in the other building seem very watchful as well). I also just moved here from a mile down the road on a street called Palais, next to a school. There were 7 homicides last year alone in the next street (Guinada) shared alleyway into my building and street. This is no comparison - NO WAY. I feel like I have a very nice community that's protected, gated from the outside world here. (Ever see "Being There" with Peter Sellers - lol). This review is for more authentic drama free type of folks who aren't at issue with the world. It's far too easy to bash on this site, so I had to speak up, cause the reviews on our community have got it all wrong, really, But, before you even consider moving here, you simply gotta know this for sure. YOU HAVE TO BE COOL WITH DOGS. If yappers are a big hassle with you, well, we do have em here. Just goes with the territory. But, I've never moved into a place that allowed pets and had no problem with fleas until I moved in here. No fleas, if you didn't know they allowed pets here and you came and looked at the place you'd never think they did, it's very clean.
As far as the deposit, make sure you go to your local housing website and read up on the laws on security deposits. I do wonder if I can even come close to having my place as nice as it was upon move in, but hey, I got a month's free rent, so even if I lost all or part of it, I break even anyway, duh. They also offer the same incentive after your lease is up to get you to stay another year. And if you live in a place for 2 years , the condition of your place upon move out is not as stringent as it would be for the condition after a year as far as sec. dep. go. OH, and the last thing that might be a drawback on the utilities here, it is electricity only, no gas. The lady at the gas co. said that tends to make the bills higher, but after the last place I just moved out of that didn't seem to be the case. My util bill's not to bad here so far. See in the summer, that's where it gets bad with ac bill. But, the pool here is really nice and the trees provide a lot of shade.
FOR PICTURES you have to go here cause I couldn't upload them:

Well, I'm going to copy my email to the offices here, so if you're reading this far, you'll get the big overall pic here in my email:
Just wanted to send out a document regarding my new residence in Anaheim here at
the Wateridge Apartments located at 2200 E. Ball Road. Firstly, I am no
stranger to managed apartment housing; from living both on Bora Bora and Panay
Way in Marina del Rey, CA to Laguna Serrano of Laguna Niguel. I have to remark
at how well managed Wateridge Apartments are and simply of no comparison at all
to the other places I've lived. Should anyone see fit to have any complaints in
this community, chances are they have more complaints about pretty much anything
more than likely. To be sure, this is an absolute doggie lovers community as
well-and I am definitely a lover there! Lol; and woof!
The beautifully landscaped design with towering pine and silver dollar
eucalyptus trees among many others leaves one to wonder at the origin of the
design long ago. In the heat of Anaheim, the shades from trees are definitely a
valuable resource to have over ones doorstep. With all the trees, I quickly
thought of the noisy leaf blowers that all too often go with a well sculpted
landscape, however, it is most pleasing to find (as I believe with the best
gardeners) the leaves being raked up off the grasses.
I had only one problem upon move in, a simple toilet clog had maintenance not
only fixing, but replacing the toilet with a new one completely. They were
prompt, courteous and happy; and even with new carpets and a totally stormy
downpour of rain and a muddy outside they managed to leave absolutely no trace
of ever having been in the apartment except of course for the new bathroom
fixture.
The apartments design itself transcends the time it was originally built into
perfectly and easily designing current trends of tasteful interior decorations.
All the cabinets shut firmly closed and the perfection of the apartments
presentation upon show is impeccable. Stone tile in the bathroom and kitchen is
an excellent choice. The leasing agents are wonderful, caring and very
reasonable people, along with the same of our maintenance people all of which I
absolutely trust, all of which are performing excellent service to all. I have
lived many years in many different types of apartments and I can assuredly say
this is the best place for every aspect of what's to be expected of an apartment
community and management.
I think it's very worth lending the time to write this and put if forth. It
seems the people who take the time to write opinions on things a lot of the time
are those venting and it is very good when you find a very good thing to make it
known especially to the people who are responsible for it being so good.
The beauty here is a given, it's wonderful to have a serene home (and who'd a
thunk it; State College and Ball??!! Right?), but to have a home where to love
thy neighbor is an easy thing to do?! Uh, YAY, finally! THANK YOU SO MUCH, you
guys are awesome, you guys rock! Thank you and I love you.
