Our company moved us here for a job opportunity and we had to move to Bakersfield without a lot of time to home-hunt beforehand. The relo realtor recommended the springs apartments. What a nightmare this experience has been.
The people are a mix of college students through welfare families. Parking is ridiculous where people double park everywhere leaving nowhere else to park except in the dark, unlit areas. My new car has several door-dents from others banging their doors against my car. The drunk drivers racings through the parking areas and doing burnouts is another constant worry.
The apartments themselves are really rundown and dingy. The management has obviously stopped maintaining these apartments long ago. The kitchen and bathrooms are old with worn out appliances and fixtures. The carpet and walls were filthy when we moved in. I can not get the musty, dank smell out of our apartment even after cleaning and washing everything. The wood siding and handrails outside the buildings are rotting and falling apart and literally mold ridden.
I am so unhappy at the springs apartments. I wish I had never moved here.
