I like and don't like living here. I feel safe living here which is a big deal to me. So that is a good note.
The office notifies you late about things and doesn't seam to know all the facts, such as needed to have your car moved for painting and then does not clearly notate the proper locations for parking. Which meant my car was towed after all. I worked with the management and did not have to pay for this.
The grounds are well maintained. Some neighbors are noisy while others are peaceful. Not as many kids around as I have encountered at other apartments. In the lower units you can hear your neighbor above, but only the loud noisy walkers :). The laundry facilities are clean and well maintained. There is not a lot of guest parking and you can not park on the street in Brea. If I need things fixed they take care of them.
I do feel that the rent is too high for the quality of the apartment. The carpets are not new, the counters are repainted, the cupboards are old. They have not upgraded any of the hardware. The Studios are drafty (which doesn't bother me too much).
However let me say that I feel extremely safe here and would likely continue my lease if my rent was not going up so much.
Also I would recommend getting a unit that doesn't face the internal roads or pools or activity spaces if you are concerned about noise.
