Resident 2003 - 2004

Previous resident's recommendation:

My husband and I moved into Casa de Rosa when I was 3 months pregnant. This place is beautiful, inside and out. I was on bed rest most of my pregnancy, and was able to rest peacefully there any time of the day. Sandy and Tony are wonderful people with the biggest hearts and a great compassion for people. You will always notice Sandy as the more talkative and visiting type (typical of us women) and Tony as the reserved business man. I will only speak the highest and best of Sandy (as I got to know her best). She cares about everyone so much and is so loving. She prayed for my pregnancy and daughter. Did i mention that she is a Christian. Technically she cannot mention this because it is a place of business, but she is a follower of Christ. She was such a blessing and inspiration and so kind that I hated to bother her with our problem neighbor.

My daughter was born while we lived there and had many breathing problems in her first few months. We had a neighbor who smoked, and smoked a lot too. We had to keep our window cracked slightly for ventillation of the house and he would smoke right outside our window. They offered to move us to a different apartment when one opened. This was a kind gesture. We all decided it was best for us to move, as my daughter's breathing did not improve and the neighbor never became any more considerate, despite the managers speaking to him on multiple occasions. I have not lived there for 3 years now and I really miss the place as well as the managers.

We had to have a few repairs done, and they were done in a timely manner. they had just remodeled the club room area into an exercise center, and did a great job. The parking was limited to tennants only, guests had to park on the street. That is a minor sacrafice for the quality of the apartment and the people who lived there. Many of the residents who lived there during the time I was there were long term tennants who were saving to purchase homes. The general setting of the complex was quiet and peaceful. Did I say I miss it still? :)

As far as the deposit went. Of all the places I have lived in my life, this was the most up fromt and honest about the deposit. I had a young infant daughter with health problems at the time, and did not have the time nor help to clean the place. She charges us a flat fee to have the cleaning service they use clean and the maintenance guy do painting (I forgot his name but he was a nice guy as well). She put this in writing before we moved out and we got our remaining deposit back as stated on the move out agreement, and we received it within about 10 days of our move out date. I do not recall now how much we were charged for the cleaning and painting but it was not much at all.

Minus the one rude guy who smoked outside our window, this place was really a blessed place to be. Looking at it in retrospect now, I wish I was a bit more mature then and would have just closed my window completely and ran the air conditioning. He moved eventually and we could have still been there. Maybe in a 2 bedroom or a townhouse by now. I may inquire about moving back in one day :)

Sorry for the book of a review, but that is just who I am. I am a woman, and a long winded one at that. If you call Casa de Rosa and just talk to Sandy, you will know what I say about her and the place is true.
