Windmere cottage style apartments
The cottage style apartments are outdated with cottage cheese ceilings that crumble with no contact. The countertops are painted with a chunky (hopefully food safe) paint in a sloppy manner. The counter space is hardly ample and these apartments are not big enough for a family of more than 4 unless you want to be on top of each other. There is very little cabinet space, outdated dishwashers, and one outdated (circa the late 1980's) ceiling fan in the kitchen. The "private balcony" has gaps underneath and is shoulder level so people walking by can see into your windows (if opened). There is one patch of cement next to a mud patch. The restrooms have the awful shower doors you can't take off. One plus is the storage in the restrooms (if you don't mind the falling apart doors). The sink and counter is painted with the same tacky counter paint from the kitchen. The rooms are decent in size though the "guest room" has a very awkward closet that only allows for storage on the bottom half of one section unless you don't plan on hanging clothing in the entire closet. The living room is decent sized. The kitchen and restroom are the only rooms with lighting, so buy some lamps before moving into one of these units. The management is very lax here, so don't expect to be helped in a timely manner. They are friendly, but that doesn't make up for their deficits as management. The low price they offer is really just because it's so cheap. Cheap rent makes for a cheap place to live. If you have school aged children just know that this unit is in the boundaries for one of the worst performing elementary schools in the district, so be prepared for that.Share This Review
