I relocated to Sac from San Diego in late 2008. I knew I wanted to be in east-ish county to be closer to Tahoe without getting too far from my office, and I wanted to be near a river for summer. I set my rent for about $1000 (1 bed/1 ba) and set off to look at some places I found online. For $800 I found I could live in pretty sh***y places... then I checked out Edgewater. I walked the grounds with the chick who used to work the office, Christina, and checked out a unit: private patio (I'm on the backside), lots of storage space for a single dude, and a fireplace. It's a run of the mill apartment, but in San Diego I probably would've paid $300 more for it.
Anyway, I've been here about 14 mos. I have a dog that's a little over the weight limit, but they were cool about it as long as she stayed out of trouble.I didn't take a unit with a washer & dryer- it was $50/mo more- but I do laundry like 2x a month, and the laundry room near me is always clean and available. Never had to put in a maintenance call, so I can't judge em. I can say I've never had a problem with security or anything though, and I have a newer car that's never been messed with.
I really don't have any complaints, I guess. I just read the two office chicks are gone. I dind't have a lot of interaction with them, but Brittany was smokin hot, even though it didn't seem like she really did anything, and Deliliah just struck me as arrogant and kinda ------. Then again, I'm from San Diego, so I'm used to otherwise-useless eye candy ;)
