READ BEFORE SIGNING LEASE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!!!!

Deposit is only $400, which is a good thing! Seems so reasonable; but this is how they get you in. They provide you with brand new carpet, and brand new appliances, for the most part. You get a pool and fitness room. It seems like an offer you can't refuse. For the first few months I loved it. Maintenance for the most part was top-notch, cool guys, kept the place looking nice, often see them cleaning in the morning. I felt bad for them when they had to put up with stupid tenants that either trap the chute or leave their garbage in the room. I loved going into the pool, it was really hot when I moved in. The next month, the heater was broken, and the pool was never heated. I remember trying to go in at least 10 times, and there were signs showing "pool is out of order, sorry for the inconvenience." There were several times when the jacuzzi was broken in the year I lived there. You will lose clothing and furniture due to severe molding problems. We had to scrub two to three times a week to keep mold away. The staff recommends that you leave your windows and sliding doors cracked open at all times. I hope you can trust your neighbors! They lowered my base rent, so it seemed like a steal! Parking was easy, until they started painting over the free parking spots into "reserved parking" for $75 of rent per month. I have known 3 different tenants who lived there, and each of their provided microwave handles broke during their tenancy. The sinks leaked from the bottom, and the carpet became SOAKED. This happened twice in one year. There is no reception for T-mobile or AT&T unless you walk all around the apartment. You usually get missed calls or voice mails half an hour late if you don't have reception. Worst of all, they get you at the end of your tenancy! They screw you on your deposit. I thought it was funny reading all these bad reviews.. Until I got a letter at my new address, stating I owe them $400 more dollars. I know a tenant who had to pay over $1000 on top of their deposit to repair the carpet. I lived there for only 1 year, didn't wear shoes in the house, and they charged me over $500 pro-rated rate to repair their carpet. This was most likely caused by their leaking sinks. These good reviews are only based on those who have lived there for a SHORT amount of time, or they WORK at Serramonte Ridge. The place is a poor excuse for a complex. Tenants later realize this, which is why the Staff tries hard to get you in, and screw you on your way out. PLEASE reconsider before moving in. I was considering suing, but they will just find more ways to make money off of their tenants. Like a divorce, take my money and get the hell out of my life. I hated this place. I don't want anyone else getting screwed. Thanks for reading, PASS THIS ON!!!
