I have lived at Almondwood for the past year. I wouldn't say that it was an amazing experience, but it wasn't a bad one either. The management is nice and helpful for the most part. The location is convenient for students - across the street from The Marketplace and on 2 bus lines. There is plenty of parking and they give out free parking permits. They also do repairs pretty quickly.
One of the downsides were the amenities. They were pretty minimal, a bare study room with uncomfortable furniture and a very small workout room with little equipment. Though the pool and hot tub are nice, they close pretty early. The scenery is pretty bad, as the grass looks dead and grounds are not that appealing. Also, they just painted the entire complex an ugly brown color, which makes it look even LESS appealing. Rent is too high, especially for the newer townhouses! I think its a bit outrageous. The hardwood floors are hard to maintain and the open layout doesn't really work for me.
Overall, its a decent place. Convenient location. Safe.
