Resident 2009

5/24/2011

We live in a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom apartment here @ the Park Regency Club. I only have positive things to say about this place. The landscape is nice & green, many trees & plants. Very pet friendly which is definetly a plus for us since our pup loves his walks. The patio is nice & big, plenty of space to put a garden & some lawn chairs & for the pup to run around. Love the open floor plan & the new carpet & wall paint. There is plenty of parking for our visitors & the parking is well lit. It is conveniently located close to freeways, supermarket & many places to eat. Stonewood Mall & Downey landing are not far away. The neighbors seem friendly & approachable. Very quiet! Which is a surprise since we expected more noise. Definetly peaceful when you take a walk. The laundry is a bit expensive & the only Con I can really think of is that many cars pile up @ the entrance. Love this place so far & I definetly recommend! UPDATE BELOW::::::: I decided to write a follow-up review to my experience at Park Regency Club now that I've moved out. Everything was pretty pleasant(just lucky I guess) in the 2 bedroom apartment. Sure I wouldn't consider them "luxury" but we had no shared walls in the bedroom & no one lived upstairs so the noise was at a minimum. We decided to move to a one bedroom because we thought we didn't need an extra room once our roomate moved out. Boy was that a bad idea. Sharing walls with other tenants who have LOUD sex & are either obese or "heavy" steppers upstairs is soooo annoying! Ok I get that this is "apartment" living but boy the walls are paper thin! You don't notice it at first, but after a little bit of use, you realize how cheapy the apartment is. The paint starts to peel, The drains always clog, the windows rattle & shake, the carpets are ugly & the plastic floor is made too look like wood (tacky). Just cheap. This is not luxury. A super annoying gift is that sometimes you are left without water for DAYS or in such was the case in December 2010 without power for daysss! Ridiculous!! I paid extra ($1140) to have a patio that was small & had no outside light. The plus in this place is that it is pet-friendly. The thing is that no one cleans up after their pets. So those nice pictures you see on the website are filled with POO! Oh & I thought there was a weight or size restrictions on the dogs, apparently not. The "ammenities" are unusable. The pool/spa is always packed. the children run around without supervision. People drive in the parking lot at 50 miles an hour. People park wherever they want, there is never any visitor spots because people are too cheap to pay for a parking spot, the "staff" is not reliable to be there when you want them ...I can go on & on & on. And yes, I heard of people getting robbed & you regularly see the cops outside. We decided to move & were charged a ridiculous amount of cash for paint & to replace the cheapy carpet. Are you serious? We left that place pristine & only lived in the one bedroom for 6 months. I just left with a sour taste in my mouth. Given the availability of homes for the same amount of $ why would anybody ever live in such a dingy, run down place?!
