I know how frustrating apartment searching can be, so I don't want to write an entirely negative review, since this certainly isn't the worst place to live, but there are a couple things you should know going in:
-Most importantly, your rent will go up significantly when your lease term is up. In my case it was between 15 and 20 percent. As a result, if you're planning to stay put longer than a year, you're probably best off looking elsewhere
-The construction was constant during the time I lived there. I figured they would run out of things to do, but they never seemed to. This is both an inconvenience and a noise issue (they closed the laundry room for months).
-The neighbors are not, in my experience, terribly friendly, probably because there's so much turnover.
-You have to pay sewer and it costs a lot. $70-$80 per month for a 2 BR 1 BA. Lots of other places won't charge you for this, so take that into account when comparing rents.
-Sound does carry. It's an apartment, so it's to be expected to some extent, but you'll definitely hear the bass of your neighbor's music, etc.
All that being said, the pros are:
-There's plenty of parking
-After the remodel, I think the apartments are pretty nice on the inside
-It's one of the few places that allows dogs
My bottom line is: if you're planning to move once your lease is up, go for it. Otherwise, this is not a place you want to stay in long-term because of the rent increases.
