Resident 2009 - 2012

2/22/2012

Even though we are vacating our unit, my husband and I love it at Casa! The only reason we are leaving is we ve outgrown apartment living and need a backyard of our own. I'm really going to miss all the trees and the squirrels playing outside my kitchen window. Most of the neighbors have been there a very long time, and we know a lot of them in our building by name. I know the names of some of the pets I don t think tenants would stay so long if there were problems. Terri, Kay, Sam and Gigi are all fantastic property managers; courteous, responsive, friendly and professional. In almost three years, we ve never once had a problem. And if we had a service request, it was handled quickly and correctly V and I m picky. The gym was recently updated, and looks great, brand new equipment! Huge improvement! Yes, the walls are a bit thin, typical of apartment living in an older building. And yes, you get no cell reception in your apartment - we got a cheap land line, problem solved. The style of the inside of the apartments is a bit old fashioned, but the garden setting and cool property management team make up for it. There are rules to be followed, which are again typical of any property managed home. We were once asked to take a decorative item off from hanging in our patio. I checked the lease, and sure enough, we weren t supposed to hang anything in the Patios. We took it down, no problem. Most apartment complexes don t want all the patios to be littered with oodles of crap and some people take advantage. So the rules are there to keep everything streamlined. We were also bummed when Fremont passed the law that didn t allow for large grills on the patios. Casa gently enforced the new ordinance with reminders and information on what type of grills were acceptable and we removed ours. While it sucked, it was totally appropriate. Some people would have blazing fires in their all wood patios V completely unsafe!!! And honestly, Casa having these types of rules in place make it a quiet and serene place to live. So if you don t want to live in a box type apartment, as so many are now in Fremont, check out Casa Arroyo V we highly recommend for couples or single folks to enjoy a relaxing and serene place to live.
