I have lived in this complex for over two years now. I was very hesitant to give this community a chance after reading all the negative reviews and comments on this site. I am SO glad we ignored those comments and decided to give Pebble Creek a try.
The staff are always quick to respond to maintenance requests. Everyone on staff here is exceedingly professional. They're nice even when we run into them around town.
The neighborhood is very convenient and close to Lake Elizabeth (fantastic for exercise!!). Pebble Creek is right about 2 miles from the Fremont Bart station. It's easily accessible walking or on bicycle. If you have one of the townhouse style apartments W/D are in units, some have garages. On the traditional apartment side of the complex there are laundry facilities. There are two pools, a small fitness center, and a community room available by reservation. The complex is pet friendly, even for large dogs, which is becoming increasingly rare.
The price is very reasonable compared to complexes in other middle-of-the-road areas. Home ownership is cheaper than the rent here, but not everyone wants to be responsible for maintenance or has a hefty down payment. The Irvington District is not the nicest part of town, nor is it "------". The complex across the street changed owners and the new management chased out the riff raff, so that's not an issue anymore either. Yes, this complex is two blocks off Fremont Blvd, but it's very quiet here. When I came to look at this complex I actually heard the wind rustling the trees and I was sold...
Overall, I'm very happy with living here
