The complex had months to prepare for my move in date. The Heater and Air conditioner did not work on move in day. It took weeks and several attempts to get that fixed. They made an apointment to have a real HVAC tech fix it and then nobody showed up when I waited all day. Then they let a guy in on Saturday when I was gone with no notice and no supervision. The staff was great about wanting to use their keys all the time to enter the unit when nobody was home. A big section of the roof collapsed when it rained and filled a closet with inches of water (they did not pay for property damages). Maintenance had to enter many times to work on the failed roof. The office posted one of my payments against the wrong apartment and tagged my door with a big notice, then they closed the office during their posted hours for three days so that nobody was there in the office when I left work early to show my rent receipt. Neighbors played rap music with adult lyrics at full volume day and night with no response from management. I had to post California law on the door to prevent illegal entry by management (failure to provide even 12 hours notice after I told them in writing I required 7 days to schedule a day off from work 24Hr notice is the minimum they can give by law). When I finally got out they gave me copies of fliers for cleaning services they did not have performed as justification for keeping most of my deposit. The office girl told me that everyone pays for repainting when they move out. This is a direct violation of California law.
