Resident 2016 - 2017

7/19/2017

Run!!! Don't walk; run away. A quick tour of the facilities will show you. Chances are as you stroll around the grounds you will discover a mixture of parched barren dirt and over watered weeds with occasional pools of water in between. Be careful where you step as there is a generous amount of dog feces left scattered by their owners. Always seems to be the big dog owners that cannot seem to pick up after their dogs, of course that is the owners faults, not the apartment complex but I feel as though they could do something. Next you will stroll past one of the open gates. The one in the back makes a nasty racket of screeching metal as it opens and closes but do not worry it seems to be broken and left open more often than not. As you pass by the pool you may be close enough to see the dilapidated deck furniture or the nonfunctional shower. If you choose to take a dip you may want to have your shots first. The water tends to have a funky smell and leave you feeling a bit oily. Sure wish that shower was functioning. If you check out the gym you will see the lovely retro 80's decor. Two nonworking treadmills that they patch and re-patch time and time again yet they cannot seem to replace them. The weight machines have most of the padding worn off, the ellipticals are interesting as well. One makes a lovely grinding noise as you use it while the other has only one foot hold. There is a stationary bicycle but the cables will not lock it in place so you are bouncing with each move of your pedals. They do have TV's, sometimes they work, sometimes not. That is OK, usually you will have enough entertainment watching the cockroaches on the wall or floor. I have stepped on at least one every time I have been to the gym. On your way back to your apartment be careful of the snails, they are everywhere. I do not blame them for the snails, just be careful, with the lighting at night it is easy to not see them. Also wear plenty of mosquito repellent, even inside your apartment, because of the stagnate pools of water to be found everywhere you will find plenty of them. Not to mention all the cockroaches. Maybe they are brought by all the people that wander around at night going thru the garbage since the gate is broken and not closing. Maintenance is nice, they try to fix things in the apartment quickly, grounds and management not so much. Please find another place, we intend to.
