No hassle apartment living

I moved to Fullerton for law school and decided on Amerige Pointe above all other options. The location, close to shopping/dining centers, grocery stores, and only minutes from downtown Fullerton, was prime real estate. My single bedroom apartment was on the top floor (I always take top floor rooms). The apartment is comfortable, with ample room for entertaining guests. The pool, movie theater, gym, basketball court, billiard room, and office make a weekend at home a very pleasurable one. I never had any maintenance issues to boot. I opted to park outside with most other residents, but some visitors, especially late at night, do not respect the parking arrangements. I called the office to request a garage and had it a week later. The garage was plenty spacious for my four door acura tsx. The staff were courteous, helpful, understanding, and personable, and fair dealing. The ethnic makeup of the local population has in no way negatively affected my stay. The anonymous reviews you read here, spouting anger aimed at local residents, should be taken with a large grain of salt. There is a majority of Korean peoples here. Just like any group of people, the vast majority are cordial… See More>

A nice place to live in

Amerige Pointe has a great staff that does there best to please everyones needs. The complex offers lots of diversity, with people willing to be open and friendly. This is prime location because everything that a home would need is at your fingertips. The grocery store, banks, food, etc.. are all within walking distance. To put to topping on the place they have top of the line sports court, weight room and movie theater.

      Great location, nicely kept grounds

We have been at Amerige Pointe for a few months now. The management has been very accomodating; I couldn't be happier with their service. I read some of the reviews and was pretty surprised - I've had no issues with any of my neighbors, regardless of their race (?!?!). I've found that most of the time if one is courteous and friendly to others, (unless they are thugs, which is another story) they respond in kind. The location is great; it's very convenient to be able to walk across the street to the grocery store, Target, or any number of assorted businesses. The sushi bars are both great and the restaurants tied in with Amerige Pointe are very good, too. My only complaint is that the insulation between floors seems to be non-existent. I had wondered if the people who lived upstairs were very large or wore cement shoes.LOL! I finally met them and they are actually small to medium sized. They said they can hear the people above them, too. That is truly the only problem I've had with the place.

          I LOVE it here!

I love living in Amerige Pointe because... *all of the amenities- movie room with reclining chairs, pool table room to host a party, indoor basketball court, conference room, gym, large swimming pool and jacuzzi, two BBQ's, fireplace, and office. *Fisler Elementary is one of the highest ranking schools in the OC. *the apartment already comes with a washer, dryer, stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher (all matching). *when I place a work order, they come within 24 hours to fix the repair. They usually come the same day to fix the issue. *there is consistent communication between the office and the tenants. Newsletters are placed at our door regarding issues or fun activities they are hosting (pool parties, balcony decorating contest, Easter Egg Hunt, ice cream parties, etc.). *they support the nearby businesses. *the office staff goes out of their way to help meet the needs of their tenants. *the office staff is friendly and organized. *the apartments are beautiful with wooden floors, moldings on the top and bottom of the walls, and painted walls. *they have onsite security at night. As well as, each apartment is equipped with its own alarm system. *it is a pet-friendly place. *it is near many hiking trails and parks. *my neighbors are friendly and always… See More>

            Nice place to live

We moved from France to Fullerton for 2 years and will finish our leasing soon, we are very happy with the apartment location and the management, also with the maintenance!!! since we started living here in august 2009, as soon as we have a problem with something they come to fixed very quick, all people who works here are very nice, and we have not complaints, we will missed to be as good treated, specially with the maintenance...

              Very Happy in Amerige Pointe

I am on my second year of residence at Amerige Pointe, and I am looking forward to continue my stay when my lease comes up. While Amerige Pointe may not be perfect (but then again, what apartment complex is?), its location, amenities, and level of service are perfect for my needs. I do hear intermittent noises from my neighbors upstairs and the garage door rolling up directly behind our bedroom wall from time to time, but they're more of an exception than a rule and do not really annoy me any. Parking can be a pain at times, but it's only because you cannot find a close enough spot to your unit; but I've never been shut out of a parking spot ever - ever. Given these 2 personal pet peeves, I would not give up living here for the many positives that I experience every day. First, the location is extremely convenient. Everything that I and my family would need on a whim (food, detergent, medicine, DVD rental, even golf balls) is just outside the complex, as in, literally across the street. My son's school is 2 minutes away, so it helps… See More>

This property was just not the luxurious property that it tried to project

I have to admit that they have a beautiful leasing office and from Gilbert St., it looks great, but try living in one of the units! I came from a BRE property and I've never been in such a cheaply made property for one that was modernly equipped with washer and dryer in the units. But, when you have parking issues after coming home from a hard day from the office, it's not what you pay this kind of rent for! Also, the noise is unbearable! I have neighbors that try to be courteous at night when talking on the phone, but I can hear everything! Every cough, every step, I mean, how thin are the walls here? I am very disappointed. I am a current resident and I have talked to the manager about issues regarding fixes for my unit and she has not been very helpful either. Thanks for the customer "no" service! I'll be taking my business elsewhere when my lease is up.

Not worth the money and trouble!

I lived here two years and I liked the fact that these apartments were one of the newer ones on the block, but it has not been worth the parking hassles and the small cramped units here. The onion skin thin walls allow you to hear everything! Where is the privacy? And management over time has gone downhill. A big reason why I left was the office manager. I would stay away! I'm taking my business to one of the newer apartments in Downtown Fullerton. It's cheaper than Amerige still for comparable units.

                    You can hear everything

I can hear everything that happens in the apartment above us... from the tenants going to bathroom, to walking across the room, to snoring, etc. I really wish someone warned us about the noise level between the apartments.

                      Happy Neighbor

I have lived at Amerige Pointe for a few years now, and I recently recommended a friend to move here. She was really turned off by what she read on this website, and I feel that I need to comment on some of this! First of all, for people who are considering moving here, I hope you don't take these few bitter people's comments too much to heart. I am one of many happy people who have made this beautiful community my home for several years. There is no denying that we have the same issues as every other apartment community. I have never had a problem with management (we have had 3 managers in the time I have lived here). Every time I go in the office the staff asks how my kids are doing. One more thing I want to add is that the people who write in about not liking Koreans are either blind or just ignorant. If you have ever set foot in the Amerige Heights area, you know that there are tons of Koreans. If you don't like them then this is not the place for you. Their food many smell a little but unless… See More>

New Managment is not better management.

I've lived here for almost 4 years. The first 3 years were great. Management catered and listened to legitimate complaints and tried to keep everyone happy. The property manager then (----------------) was great. She lived in the units and got to know the people that were renting within her company. Once she left things went down hill. The new manager ------ (dont know her last name dont care). She has to be one of the fewest two-faced people I have ever meet. She'll smile at you like she will do something for you and in the end just make false accusations without actually investigating anything. Noise in the whole complex has gotten worse. No sense of complaining she wont really do anything. For the amount of money you pay for these apartments in this real estate market, you would think that Company would hire management tat are capable of working people closely. I recommended people here and meet people who live here. Once their lease are up, they can waste more money and have a HIGH churn rate. Which means more money being spent to keep the units full.

Noisy & Smelly with inconsiderate Koreans everywhere

My husband & I lived here for 1 year & are moving this month. If u like the smell of the disgusting food that Koreans eat then you can live here. When you get home from work your apartment smells so bad from others cooking that it makes you physically ill. Plus the noise upstairs is rediculious. It is worth the extra money to live on the top floor because your neighbors do not care if they stomp & drop things all night & keep you from sleeping. And forget about managment making it any better because we've complained 7 times within 6 months & nothing happened. A renters kid & his friends trashed the movie room & they were not kicked out. Management only cares about $$. Parking is also Terrible if you get home after 4pm. My husband works nights so we had to buy a car port in order for him to have somewhere to park when he gets home. Also the neighbors slam their doors and have no manners or respect. Watch your back because after the first complaint our tires were slashed on both of our cars & no one else. This has all been reoccuring over… See More>

Have been living here almost a year and can't wait to get out. Staff is worthless, they don't follow through, they are rude, and never in a hury to help. They hand out information sheets that have incorrect information on it, their website offers you the ability to pay your rent online, but it takes you to a different apartment complex when you use it, and management has no idea what you are talking about if you ask them. In addition, the rent is overpriced. Oh, I saw a review on how safe it is to live here; remember I haven't been here a year yet and yesterday got my third notice on recent crime activity in the complex. I went down to the inside parking the day before only to see shattered window glass, hope you have a garage here. There has been a young asain gang that has been going into the complex and tagging too. Lets see what else...

my husband and i lived at amerige point for two years. i would say the nicest and safest apartment complex in oc. but the management especially Gray, are rude and dont care about customer service! we moved becuase management offended us so often and of course other reasons such as strict rules, but never inforced, the media center always closed, computer room has two computers and they were always broken and when they did work, teenagers would be on for hours talking to friends. parking was horrible-parking passes were given out to residents, but i guess they didnt mean anything. we didnt complain much even though we probably should have, well, now we are. so i hope you reconsider amerige point and if Gray still works there, try to avoid her at all costs and let someone else help you out if they are willing to do so. good luck

I don't why those people lived there had such experience but I am pretty happy staying there till I moved to another location for a job.

Staff are not bad. The manager has even volunteered to help me to move a heavy object. It has been quiet in my unit. Though they tried to notify me that I am causing the leaking problem of the downstairs and should be responsible for it if it happens again (which is definitely not my problem; it just happens out of natural wear; also the contractor they hire knows what is the problem but he didn't fix it, so the management has to ask him come again and again this way the contractor makes money.) I didn't really argue as I am leaving soon. But I feel sorry for the management that they have been ripped off by the maintenance contractor.

Overall it is a pleasant place. I missed living there. As I moved to Metro LA, it is much harder to find a peaceful, inexpensive and safe place to live.

                                        A daycare center

I moved into a 1 bedroom apt. in August 2004 and I will be there until Oct.1st of this year. When I first moved in I was impressed with the amenities and the inside of the apt. However, I cannot wait to move! My biggest problem is that this complex is completely overrun with loud, obnoxious children. The sidewalks around the complex are not for walking, but predominately for packs of kids on scooters and "razors." Forgot enjoying the pool or a relaxing dip in the spa. There are always kids doing bellyflops and cannonballs into the spa. In addition to that children are left unattended to bring pool noodles and other large toys into the spa even though this is supposedly "strictly prohibited." The staff is incompetent and do-less. Have you ever seen Anna Nicole Smith talk on TV? Yeah it's about like that. Unfortunately, "cute" doesn't mean service. Finally, they keep raising the rent for existing tenants to renew... My rent started at about $1400/mo. for my tiny one bedroom, next year, if I was to stay, they're raising to to $1600! Ridiculous! Don't waste… See More>

                                          An honest opinion

I'm going to be completely honest. I had a two bedroom apt on the 2nd floor with private garage. Amerige Pointe can be a good place to live, but there are a few downers. First, although it's nice that the doors are nice, tall and thick, they close much to fast and would shake my apartment when my neighbors left the door to close on its own. This happens enough for me to mention it. Also, the staff is young and cute at times, but good looks don't make up for incompetence. The pool area is great, but good luck trying to around the many kids. Also, as a read in a similar situation in another review, my second year there they tried to raise the rent almost $200/month and offered my apartment to new potential tenants at the lower original renting price. I know because I was there when I gave my 30 days notice before moving out and there was a couple looking for a 2 bedroom apartment and the staff had the nerve to offer my apartment at a lower price right in front of me. I was confused until I really thought about it. They raise… See More>

The girls in the management office are completely unprofessional, horrible at following through with what they commit to and generally rude. The apartments are okay, if you like feeling like your place was built by IKEA. I was the first person to live in my apartment (building was new) and the counter top wasn't even attached! They towed my cousins car, despite it saying on my leasing agreement that open spaces were guest spots. Then they put in signs in the middle of long sections to designate guest parking... guess what? It wasn't designating the whole section, just one spot in the middle of the section, so got towed again. Then after complaints they finally wrote visitor on the pavement in front of the spots. But parking is horrible, the head maintenance guy is a moron, and the management staff (Julie and her moronic friend) are just imbeciles. Do not recomend this place at all to anyone!

Parking sucks first of all and they say they will tow people with out a permit but I have never actually seen them do it. I have had two major problems now and both took many calls and one still isn't resovled. For the amount of money you pay I expect broken things to get fixed in a reasonable amount of time.
