I moved in in 2005. It was a nice quiet community. Over the past two years more and more college students have moved in. I had "Animal House" types across from me and beside me. One group would sit on their balcony (right outside my window) and talk and smoke until 3 in the morning. I remember waking up in the middle of the night to "come on, show us your ----!" That was only outdone by the very loud sex that went on anytime of the day or night. Think the howling lady in Porky's. Right before I moved out, I had to call the Fullerton police because the neighbor beside me was having a very loud party until 1:30 in the morning on a weekday night. My son's car had the back window smashed out when he parked on the street (the only option if you have more than one car). Cars on the street are routinely vandalized. I almost forgot about the night I woke up to gunshots. Yes, that's right. A drive by shooting right outside my apartment. Don't let the high price and fancy neighborhood in Amerige Heights fool you. This place is not a nice safe and peaceful community. In addition to the high rent, which increased frequently, you pay for ALL utilities. Water, trash and sewage is divided up among all residents so you pay for that too! The new manager was seldom in the office. The only bright spot of living there was the maintenance man. He was always very friendly and quickly fixed any problems I had. They do allow pets. However, they charge "pet rent" which my new place doesn't charge.
